Spider Man 3 and Animal Crossing Revolution

It's been a big day today with the unveiling of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hour Glass and plenty of other things, but as the day comes to a close so does the news, but there's a bit more big news before this day ends. First off Actavision revealed that Spider Man 3 Revolution is being developed from the ground up in order to take advantage of the Revolution Controller. Also it is now officially and definitely confirmed that Animal Crossing Revolution is in the works. Series producer Katsuya Eguch today talked about Animal Crossing DS, and of course, Animal Crossing Revolution. He stated that they are looking into the different things they could do in Animal Crossing for the Revolution. Check out the full articles by clicking the source link below, and of course, stay tuned to Revo-News for more news as it pops up. Source:

Metroid Prime Hunters is in my Hands!

Finally, three days after launch, Metroid Prime Hunters is in my hands! My bro picked it up for me while he was at work since my pre-order still hadn't shipped. It's funny how I pre-order it from, online fromWal-Mart but then ended up just picking it up at the store. Crazy stuff. I managed to squeeze in some singleplayer play and also played a few online matches. I just have one thing to say, THIS GAME KICKS BASS! The graphics in the game are incredibly detailed, and aiming with the touch screen is almost as good as the old keyboard and mouse. Although I'll hold off on my final impressions till I review in around a week, I'd just like to say that Hunters online totally blows away Mario Kart, it's that good. Also I took plenty of pictures of me opening the the package and will make up a documentary for the new site when it launches.

GDC Conference Coverage

Okay, sorry for not updating live through out Iwatas speach, I was to busy with other things, so, I apologize. But now that I'm here I might as well talk about todays events. Not much was revealed but what was was HUGE.

First off Iwata revealed that Sega Genesis, Master System, and even Turbo Graphix 16 games will be coming to Revolution Virtual Console. Iwata stated that not all games will be featured, rather Nintendo will pick the best of the best on those three systems.

Finally, most likely the best news of the show, Iwata revealed the upcoming DS title The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. The game takes on the exact style of Wind Waker with beautiful cel-shaded graphics. The game is set to come out this year.

Follow the link to check out all the info and stay tuned to Revo-News for more news on the Virtual Console and Phantom Hourglass.

My Quest For Metroid Prime Hunters

Since I pre-ordered my copy of hunters from Wal-Mart a month ago I've anxiously awaited the "Your item has shipped" e-mail. Well today I looked in my e-mail, there was one letter in my inbox, it was adressed by Wal-Mart, it is an advertisement for Spring products, I weep. So for yet another day I am left with another reason to say "Screw you Wal-Mart".

Nintendo Metroid Prime Hunters/Tetris DS Press Release

REDMOND, Wash., March 20 /PRNewswire/ — Nintendo’s wireless gaming service welcomes two incredible new games that will raise the level of competition to dramatic new levels. Metroid(R) Prime Hunters is Nintendo’s first real first-person shooter for Nintendo DS(TM), while Tetris(R) DS features classic puzzle action remixed with retro Nintendo themes. Both games launch today, and both are playable on Nintendo(R) Wi-Fi Connection, Nintendo’s wireless gaming service. Together they reinforce Nintendo’s commitment to making games that appeal to both hard-core and casual gamers.

“These two games really showcase the range of abilities of the world’s favorite new portable game system,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. “They will further help drive Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection as the hottest Wi-Fi format ever introduced to games.” In Metroid Prime Hunters, the legendary Metroid franchise continues with new hunters, new abilities, new weapons and new alternate forms. Withworldwide Wi-Fi connectivity, there’s always a band of hunters eager to challenge a player’s skills. Metroid Prime Hunters is also the first Nintendo DS game to offer real-time voice chat, letting players talk to one another before and after they face off in a multiplayer match. The chat technology functions much like a two-way radio and lets players intimidate opponents with some friendly trash talk. With this free service, players who have exchanged their Nintendo DS friend codes can converse through Nintendo DS across the Americas. Players must be logged on to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to use the chat feature.

Metroid Prime Hunters lets players battle in more than 20 action-packed arenas across seven multiplayer modes, including Battle, Capture, Bounty, Survival, Defender and Nodes, as well as the exciting Prime Hunter mode, where players battle to become the most powerful hunter in the arena. New hunters join the Metroid universe, including Trace, Sylux, Noxus, Spire,Kanden and Weavel, all battling against Samus in both single-player and multiplayer games. Each new hunter has a unique background, fighting style and individual alt forms to match up against Samus’ Morphball.

Not to be outdone, Tetris DS includes six modes, each based on a theme from a famous Nintendo character or game. The classic block-building game finds new ways to entertain. Some of the modes make use of the Nintendo DS touch screen. Newcomers and longtime fans alike will find new surprises. Using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, up to four players compete in two- orfour-player battles against friends or strangers. And with just one game card, up to 10 players can clash using DS Download Play.

New Super Mario Bros Features 80 Levels

For those of you who enjoyed the huge amount of levels in Mario 3 for the NES New Super Mario Bros is for you. The newest Nintendo just brought confirmation that the game will feature 80 LEVELS, a huge step up from the 3D Mario games where you have around 10 levels and multiple missions in each. Stay tuned to Revo-News for more info as it creeps closer to it's May 7th release.

Yoot Saito Making DS Game

“The Nintendo DS is a wonderful handheld. I’m glad it comes with a built-in microphone. That’s why we have things planned for it. We’re working on a different title right now that will use the network and microphone, but unfortunately I can’t really discuss it yet.” Yoot Saito

For those of you who don't know who Saito is, he is the man behind the upcoming GameCube game Odama. This is official confirmation straight from the game designer that he has a DS game in the works. He mentioned that it will use the DS network, hopefully this means Wi-Fi Connection. Stay tuned to Revo-News for more info as it arrives.

Tales of the Tempest Screens

I only have one word for this game... HOLY CRUD... oh, wait, that was two. The graphics in this game just keep getting better and better the more I see of it. It appears as though Namco has pulled off a winner as far as graphics, let's just hope it has winning gameplay too.

Shoot! Well it turns out that Blogger is acting up and it won't let me post pictures. The sooner I get the site moved the better. Follow the link to check out the screens.
